The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is pleased to offer internet access to the Scientific and Technical Awards database and hopes that the motion picture community, educators, students and others find it a useful research tool. This site contains data on the Scientific and Technical Awards that date from 1930 to the present. To access this information, you may either browse or search for a specific item. TO BROWSE THE SITE:  Select year, class, or category from the menu. Select a subcategory to display its list of Awards. For further information about an Award, click the Information icon. The screen that displays has further links to recipients, Award year, Award class, etc. Year displays a list of decades that, when selected, list the decade's years. Selecting a year displays its Awards. TO SEARCH THE SITE:  Select search from the menu. You may search on beginning and ending year, Award class, Award category or a specific word or phrase. You may search on any combination of selections. Pressing the button, Search, displays the results.
